Neck Pain Quiz

1. Do you have pain in your neck when you turn your head to the right? To the left?

2. Do you have pain in your neck when you bend your head forward?

3. Do you have pain in your neck when you bend your head backward?

4. Do you have pain in your neck when you tip your ear to your shoulder?

5. When driving, do you have to turn your entire body in oder to look over your shoulder?

6. Do you have pain that runs down into your arm(s) or hand(s)?

7.  Do you have any numbness or tingling in your arm(s) or hand(s)?

8. Do you have any weakness in your grip?

9. Do you wake with pain or stiffness in your neck?

10. Does your neck become stiff or painful after working on the computer?

11.  Do you have to take over the counter pain medication to manage your neck pain?

12. Do you have frequent headaches? (If yes, proceed to the headache quiz)

If you answered yes to questions 1,2,4, or 5, you may have myofascial adhesions that my need to be addressed in addition to any subluxations found.

If you answered yes to questions 3,9, 10, or 12, you may have vertebral subluxations (misalignments) or even a TMJ problem.

If you answered yes to questions 6,7, or 8, you may have subluxations or  nerve entrapments that are resulting in pain often referred to as a "pinched nerve".

Only by receiving a thorough examination that includes specific testing can it be determined which of the above possibilities may be the cause of your neck pain and if Chiropractic Treatments may be right for you.  If after your examination, Dr. Williams determines that another type of treatment may be best for your condition, our office will make the appropriate referral so  you can get the help that you need.
