Neck Pain

At one time or another most people will experience some type of neck pain, this can range from a simple “pinch” to pain so disabling that you cannot move your head. There are a variety of reasons why this can happen, but common culprits include: having your computer screen at an inappropriate level which can cause unnecessary neck strain, sleeping in an awkward position (falling asleep on the couch while watching TV), cradling a phone, or even a neck injury from a fall or a car accident. However, neck pain rarely manifests alone, often it is accompanied by other stealth symptoms that you may not immediately associate with misalignment of your cervical (neck) vertebrae.

Examples of stealth symptoms that may be coming from dysfunction in the neck:

  •  Headaches/migraines
  •  Pain in the top of your shoulders or in the front of your shoulder area
  • Arm pain
  • Numbness/tingling in your arms or hands
  • Weakness in one or both of your hands
  • Problems with your dexterity (changes in your hand writing, dropping objects)

As a Chiropractic Physician with over 30 years of experience in treating neck pain, Dr. Williams will do a thorough examination of your cervical spine to determine where your symptoms may be coming from and what will be the best way to treat them.
